KP CORE has workshops available for teachers to utilize as you see fit.

Communications Workshop

 

“Mmm, what ya say?”; Ever wish people would understand you? Do you wish your parents were more like friends and your friends knew what you were thinking? Communication is a very interesting aspect of society. Communications workshops is activity based and is meant to spark thought into how one communicates inter-personally.

 

 

Time Management Workshop

 

Do you sometimes wonder, “Should I plan my day or just go with the flow? I don’t even know how to begin sorting out the things I need to do!” This workshop helps understand one’s schedule and acknowledging breadth of involvements. Time Management workshops are activity based and followed by a short discussion.

 

 

Career Workshop

 

A general workshop introducing students to several career fields as well as potential obstacles to prevent reaching those careers. This workshop ends with a short discussion.

 

 

Intro to CORE & Higher Education

 

It’s not a question of what you can do for CORE, but what can CORE do for YOU? This workshop is meant to familiarize students with CORE, and influence them to begin thinking about college (what a campus is like, what learning is like, how the people are like.) The workshop will shift into a student panel where high schoolers will be able to ask questions to current undergraduates.
